How to list and de-list an individual or company (back to main page)
1. Listing of an individual or company
When doing the listing please take note of the following:
a) Before listing you must sent out a letter of final demand giving the individual
or company 20 working days (28 including weekends) to respond and pay.
b) You can send the final demand from within the MarisIT system.
c) You can only list for the amount of R100 and up.
d) You have to sent the final demand to the individual or company's last known
address, where he will receive the notice. It does not need to be registered mail.
e) You can also fax and email the notice for faster results.
f) When the individual or company pays the outstanding amount, it is recommended
to de-list the particular party.

1.1 Click on the TransUnion products tab on the menu. (Menu will expand)

1.2 Click on the list default link.

1.3 Enter the following details:
1) Your company name should already display, this is the name
that will reflect on the credit bureau. You must add your own
name and telephone number that will also reflect on the credit bureau.
The individual or company that was listed will then know who to contact
to make a payment to have the listing removed.2) If you select consumer, you will see the fields name + surname + ID + date of birth display.
If you select company, you will see the fields company name and registration number will appear.
Do not use the front slashes that splits the registration number e.g. 2006/203945/23
If you only have a passport number you must add the passport number with a date of birth.NB! You cannot use the same account number twice. If you need to list e.g. the individual and the
member of a CC with the same account number, you can use the following option:
Account Number 123 for the individual and Account Number 123(B) for the member of the CC.

1.4 Enter the status type. Please take note of the following:
a) If you choose "final notice", it remains on the bureau for 1 year.
b) If you choose "handed over", it remains on the bureau for 2 years.
c) If you choose "bad debt written off", it remains on the bureau for 2 years.
d) If you choose "absconded", it remains on the bureau for 1 year.
e) If you choose "repossession", it remains on the bureau for 2 years.

1.5 Enter the following details:
1) The account number of the individual or company e.g. his Pastel number.
2) The amount owing. (Must be the same as on the final letter of demand)
3) The last known physical address of the individual or company. Do not use
symbols such as - / \ , . etc. (e.g. 42 - 23rd street)
4) A postal address will not be accepted.

1.6 Click on the "submit enquiry" button. You will get a
successful notification.
The listing will immediately reflect on TransUnion, make sure that all the
details
are correct before clicking on the "submit enquiry" button.

1.7 To view all your listings click on the "view the full list of your loaded defaults"

1.8 A list of your defaults will display.

2. De-listing of an individual or company back to top
2.1 Click on the TransUnion products tab on the menu. (Menu will expand)

2.2 Click on the TU defaults link.

2.3 A list of all your default listings will show.

2.4 Make your selection by clicking on the radio button on the left.

2.5 Click on the "delist" button and the defaulter will be removed.
