1. Bank code search

Please take note of the following when doing a bank code search:
a) Even though your query is instantaneously logged at the credit bureau,
the banks may take up to 3 days to return the results.
b) You will do a bank code if there is not sufficient information about
the company at the credit bureau.
c) If a client wants credit e.g. R100 000 over 60 days, it is always safer to
request a bank code anyway even though no negative information is displayed on the credit bureau.

Bank code definitions

Normal bank code 
Full and General  bank code (Includes RD information)
International bank code (Information on international companies) Up to 5 days for delivery

 

A = Undoubted for the amount of your enquiry
B = Good for the amount of your enquiry
C = Good for the amount quoted if strictly in the way of business
D = Fair trade risk for the amount of your enquiry
E = Figures considered too high
G = Paper occasionally dishonoured
H = Paper frequently dishonoured

1.1 Click on the bank code search product tab on the menu. (Menu will expand)

1.2 Click on the bank code search link.
 

1.3 Enter the following information:

• 1) Choose a normal, international or a full and general bank code.
• 2) The account name of the company.
• 3) The account number of the company.
• 4) Bank name e.g. ABSA
• 5) Branch name of the bank e.g. Pretoria North.
• 6) Branch code of that particular branch.
• 7) The credit amount your client is requesting from you e.g. R567.99
• 8) The terms your client is going to repay the credit e.g. 60 days
• 9) Your email address where the report will be sent when received from the bank.
• 10) Your contact number.
  
  

1.4 Click the "submit enquiry" button

1.5 You will receive a "successfully sent" notification

1.6 The report will be emailed within 1 to 3days to the specified email
address entered on the form.
